In a narrowly divided Republican House, the conservative Freedom Caucus has long been perceived as the faction ready to go to legislative war to get its preferred policy outcomes. But the new chair of the House GOP’s Main Street Caucus is making clear his 83 members are also going to be a force to be reckoned with heading into the fall.
