Main Street Caucus Elects Rep. Flood as Chair

WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week, the Republican Main Street Caucus (RMSC) elected Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE) as its new chair.
"It is an honor to serve as the next chair of the Republican Main Street Caucus. I want to thank my colleagues for entrusting me with this role. Over the past few years, Dusty has done an outstanding job of leading the Caucus, helping it to become an influential conservative voice in Congress, and supporting President Trump and Speaker Johnson's agenda. I look forward to building on our successes as we continue to deliver on conservative priorities, constrain federal spending, and grow jobs that help more working families live out the American dream," said Rep. Flood.
"Main Street Republicans have made an exceptional selection with their new chairman, Congressman Mike Flood. Mike has quickly become an essential member of our GOP Conference, and with his steady hands steering the ship, the Main Street Caucus will continue to deliver common sense, conservative victories for the American people," said Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
"Mike Flood is a hard worker who is focused on commonsense solutions for America. I know the Caucus will be in good hands with him at the helm," said Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-SD), who served as chair since 2023.
"While serving as a member and leader of the Main Street Caucus, I have had the opportunity to watch Mike Flood emerge as a powerful voice advocating for a pro-growth, pro-America agenda. I am confident that Main Street is in capable hands as we work to codify President Trump's priorities. I also want to thank Dusty Johnson for his friendship and for his efforts in transforming Main Street into a strong and influential caucus on Capitol Hill," said Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK), who formerly served as caucus vice chair and now serves as a member of the caucus' executive board.
Rep. Flood previously served as vice chair. He takes over as Rep. Dusty Johnson steps down.
The Main Street Caucus is a group of 80+ pragmatic conservatives who get things done. We are Republican Members of Congress who are dedicated to strong, conservative principles related to economic, business, environmental, and national security policy, and believe in governing in a thoughtful and pragmatic manner.
Rep. Flood also announced that RSMC staff would continue to serve the caucus including:
- Briana Connolly - Executive Director
- Taylor Gage - Communications Director
- Austin Stewart - Operations Director
