Punchbowl News: Flood seeks stronger visibility for Main Street Caucus

Fresh off last week’s unanimous pick to become the next Main Street Caucus chair, Rep. Mike Flood (R-Neb.) has a lofty goal for the 80-member governing group: making the usually under-the-radar caucus a household name.

Flood, who argues Main Street is President Donald Trump’s top ally in Congress, wants the group to occupy a larger role in legislative negotiations, serve as a pipeline for rank-and-file members to enter leadership positions and aggressively enhance its visibility in the media.
